I’m new to the forum! After some delays with my initial order for a Nissan Ariya, I decided to go with the Renault Scenic E-Tech 160kW Esprit Alpine 87kWh Long Range instead. I’m really excited to pick it up soon, but I’m curious about its real-world range.

The official stats claim around 360 or 380 miles on a full charge, but we all know that actual numbers can vary. Does anyone here have this version, and what kind of range are you getting in everyday driving in the US? My wife drives a Megane E-Tech 60kWh, and she’s been averaging a little over 4 miles per kWh. I’m hoping the Scenic performs similarly or better, given its larger battery.

Welcome! The Scenic E-Tech should offer around 280-300 miles in real-world driving with normal conditions, depending on factors like driving style and terrain. It’s a great option for long trips, so you are in good hands..

Hi, my scenic is new, zero miles on it, and its the 87Kw long range, however I fully charged it and it only charges to 248... does it take time to get up to its 379 mile range?

I've had my "long-range" Scenic E-Tech for three months now (through UK winter more or less). I'm only seeing around 230 miles on a full charge (comfort mode, regen on level 3, mix of driving but mostly local/slow). Of course lights, heating etc plays a part in winter but this is a very long way off the supposed range (barely 60% of claimed range).

Real world, this is actually less than my previous car (Kona Electric 64K) so it seems I have paid a lot for a large battery EV and range has got worse. One thing I did notice on my old Kona was that range seemed to increase over time, particularly after a service.

I'm wondering whether to take this up with the dealer who sold (leased) me the car..

230 miles seems very low on a 100% full charge .
Real world range i would thought would be 70-80% of the claimed range by Renault, if the vehicle was bought from new? I would definitely get the vehicle battery checked by the dealer to be sure. I would do more tests under different weather conditions and careful driving etc. Wish all the best.
