Can the Scenic's 360 Cameras record?

Hello, everyone!

I know the Scenic isn’t out yet, but since the Megane E-Tech has a similar camera system, does anyone know if the 360-degree cameras can record footage?

I test-drove the Scenic Iconic last week, and the camera tech was amazing. The rearview mirror switches to a live feed for a full, clear view, and the parking assist gives a bird’s-eye view of the car on the main screen. It feels like a drone is showing you exactly where you are.

The Renault guide wasn’t sure if the cameras could record or if you would still need a dash cam. Does anyone know if that feature might be part of the Google Maps setup on these EVs?

When I first tried the live rearview mirror camera, I was so damn sure I’d hate it, but I was surprised by how much I liked it, especially since it compensates for restricted rear window views....as for recording, I haven’t seen built-in footage storage in Renault’s systems yet, but hey, we can keep checking future updates, especially with their Google integration. A dash cam might still be the safer bet for now.
