I recently looked into the charging rates for my Renault EV, and the website mentions that DC rapid charging requires a minimum of 130kW or 150kW. The charger at work is 120kW, so I was concerned it might not work. Turns out, the car will still charge, but at the maximum rate the charger can provide, in this case, 120kW. It’s a bit lower than what I expected, but it still gets the job done.

Has anyone else experienced this, or do you know if charging at 120kW affects battery health over time?

The particular model and the DC fast charger's capacity determines the maximum charging rate. It is generally advised to use chargers that can deliver the highest charging rate in order to reduce charging time, even if the car's BMS may adjust to varying charging speeds.
You can optimize the performance by paying attention to charging patterns.

You are safe. If the charging speed doesn't bother you in this situation, don't worry about the battery health condition over time.

It’s good to know that the BMS adjusts to different speeds. I’ll keep an eye on charging patterns to optimize battery health over time.
