Hardwiring a Dash Cam in Scenic

I’ve been trying to get a dash cam hardwired into my Renault Scenic E-Tech, but it’s proving to be more complicated than I expected. I initially asked Renault to do it, but they said no due to health and safety concern, apparently something about the airbag proximity to the wiring. Then I tried Halfords, but they also said they couldn’t do it.

Has anyone here managed to get a dash cam installed in their Scenic? If so, how did you go about it? Did you find a professional installer who could handle it safely, or did you go the DIY route? Would love to hear how others have solved this issue.

Try another installer. There are many options available who can handle the installation.

Why not look for a specialist who focuses on vehicle electrics or dash cam installs. Alternatively, a hardwiring kit with clear instructions could work for a DIY approach.
